Change the engine oil after the first 5 operating hours; change it yearly thereafter.

Run the engine a few minutes before changing the oil to warm it. Warm oil flows better and carries more contaminants

Always disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and hook it onto the retaining post before performing this maintenance procedure.

1.Remove the dipstick.

2. Tip the mower onto the left side to drain the used oil out through the oil fill tube.

Note : You may want to consider changing the oil filter at this time (applies only to model 20057).

3. Slowly pour oil into the oil fill tube until the oil level reaches the FULL line on the dipstick. Do not overfill.

Max fill: 20 oz.

Type: SAE 30W detergent oil with an API service classification of SF, SG, SH, or SJ, SL or higher).

Note: The amount and type of oil varies by type of engine. Consult your specific model's Owner's Manual

4. Install the dipstick securely. Dispose of the used oil properly at a local recycling center.
Changing the Oil Filter on Model 20057
This applies only to Model 20057. Replace the oil filter every 100 operating hours or yearly, whichever comes first.
